I want September 25, 2007

Filed under: Blah — eternally pink @ 10:06 am

I’m getting really frustrated. I like blogspot/blogger but I can’t seem to separate my paragraphs! I know it’s not such a biggie but I’m getting OC over it! I want my paragraphs separated. When I compose a blog (or essay, letter, or whatever), I want a next paragraph because I may be talking about a totally different thing already. I’ve tried entering a lot of times but when I publish the post it still comes out smushed up. =( Hay. I am now browsing the internet for other blogs I can sign up in. Hmph - but I don’t want to leave because I have posts here already that are quite old and I don’t want to transfer everything. But if I find a really good one, I might transfer.

A friend & I were smoking at the ground floor in the office early this morning after lunch when SO texted that he was on the way already. So I told him we just started smoking & that we’ll wait for him then he replies with this message: “Umutot yung taxi driver” (The taxi driver farted.) Hahaha I let our friend read it and we were laughing until SO arrived. The cab driver brought him around and we looked at him and laughed again. Hahaha! We asked SO if it smelled and he said yes! Haha (”,)

Anyway, I now have 3 items in an “I Want” list that I just started, uhm, today. Hehe (”,) First off, the Oakley shades - my God! I loooove it! The name is Oakley Behave Chrome, and it’s for women. Look at it and enjoy!

Look at how fabulous it is! If only it weren’t Php10,995 I would have bought it instantly.

Another want are contact lenses. I have been wearing glasses for almost 5 years already, I think. More or less. And I want to buy contacts so that when I have my Oakley Behave already I can wear them without having to worry whether I can see the next stoplight or not! =D I’m thinking I’ll get hazel ones and maybe grey ones; not yet sure on that but I’ll definitely get hazel ones.

Okay, the grey ones were scary. I remembered seeing them before and liked it. Anyway, I’m sure on this, I want hazel contacts. ;)

The last item on my list (so far) is an Eternity ring. It doesn’t have to be given by SO, actually. I have an officemate who has one and she just bought it (that was around 3 years ago) for P500 (at Php45 to a dollar, it’ll be roughly around $11). A friend of hers is into making jewelry and she ordered it from that friend. Obviously, with a price like that it won’t be made of kick ass diamonds but nevertheless, I liked how it looked; that would be enough — for now. Hehehe! =)

I tried looking for a picture that would be the best resemblance to what my friend’s friend is selling and the first photo is pretty much how it looks like. And then, eventually, when I have all the money in the world (insert evil laugh here), that 2nd ring is what I’ll get. Will it ever be possible? Hehe I’ll just keep on hoping.

Bar Exams September 23, 2007

Finally, it’s the weekend again. (”,) After Friday shift (Saturday morning) I, again, waited for SO to get out at 11:30 am ( I get off at 6 am). I just slept in the car in the office parking lot — it’s on the 3rd floor & not on the street, so no biggie. After his shift we headed straight to Seaside Dampa along Macapagal Ave (parallel to Roxas Blvd.). We ate at the restaurant called Ebinaku - this is a team building for one of the teams in SO’s project; I’m kinda adopted by them already. (”,) We ordered Garlic Butter Crabs, Garlic Butter Prawns (not shrimps!), Baked Mussels, Calamari, Clam soup (Halaan) & a lot of rice! Haha! “Dampa” is described as a wet market where you can buy fresh seafood caught that morning but you can also order a la carte, but why go a la carte when you can get your food fresh straight out of the market. There are a lot of dampa places around the Metro and the one near Mall of Asia is where we ate. There were rows and rows of restos you can choose from - there are sometimes 3 same restos scattered around the dampa area. The resto we ate at was chosen by our manager so we didn’t have to go through the process of looking at the menu & checking out how much they charged for the cooking of the food. We didn’t go around the actual market already, we just ordered stuff and just asked the waiter to make sure to choose the freshest seafood in the market. The restos usually have contracted stalls in the market already for certain stuff. Anyway, after wolfing down on delicious seafood we went to Mall of Asia (MOA) to walk all the food off. We were also going to watch a movie but the walk helped. ;)

We were supposed to watch I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry but we didn’t make it on time for the screening so we ended up wathing I Know Who Killed Me. This movie stars Lindsay Lohan. I read somewhere that she’ll have a movie where she plays a stripper and will have to do a pole dance - this was that movie. It was weird & gory! Quick story: It’s a little town, Aubrey Flemming (Lohan) has the perfect life, good grades, jock boyfriend, excels in everything she does, writes fiction, is a great pianist, etc etc etc. Then there’s a serial killer on the lose, a schoolmate vanishes, found the dead body a few days (?) after then what do you know, Aubrey disappears too. But she comes out of it alive then after waking up from the coma she’s a totally different person — she’s now Dakota Moss, the stripper. Anywaaay, you can read a review here >> http://www.cinematical.com/2007/07/27/review-i-know-who-killed-me/ . All in all, it was a weird movie and every single one in our group was either perplexed, confused, laughing (!) or just woke up. ;) Hehe..

After the movie, we all went our separate ways already. SO and I picked up my bestfriend Curly (not her “real” name, hehehe) at the Casino Filipino. Her parents brought her with them to a black-tie event there. We were just supposed to “pick” her up but SO badly needed to go the little boy’s room that we decided to just meet Curly inside. After SO went to the washroom - we wandered around the floor and were mesmerized with all the chips and the sound of the slots. Curly now presented a Php300 coupon that can play at the tables, but you can’t play with just that, you have to play an equivalent value of the coupin in chips. So SO borrowed Php1,000 from Curly and sat down to a newly opened Baccarat table. The dealer even had me cut the deck because I was just sitting on the table waiting for SO to decide what to play & where. Anyway, SO got the hang of it and as he played along he was already able to double the Php1k - he was thinking of giving me the 1,000 chip to keep already but decided against it and had the dealer break it into 100s. We ended up not winning anything, haha!

After the casino, we headed straight to me and Curly’s kumare (what you call the mom of your godchild) - it’s not her birthday until tomorrow but she & her hubby held the party last night. We arrived late and weren’t even able to stay for at least 2 hours! I was so sleepy, I already fell asleep on my chair. =( So we went ahead and left; then dropped of Curly at her house and I went home with SO.

We got up early this morning, around 5:30 am (we got home around 2am) because we had to go to Taft Avenue (where our university is) because it’s the last Sunday of the Bar Exams. SO’s sister is taking it this year and we met up with his mom at Starbucks. I’ll be going back to Taft later this afternoon, before the examiners finish, so I’ll get to see all the action which happens before the start of the very first exam and on the very last day. I’m so excited! Haha SO and his mom will spend the day in the area already. Their mom’s a judge (labor arbiter) and they’re there to show support to the sister. (”,) I can’t wait! Haha they said that there’s almost always an oblation run (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.P._Oblation) on the last day, woohoo! Haha! (”,) Oblation run = male students run around naked! That should be interesting. I’ll try to take pictures!

I’m still enjoying my P990i & have no plans of trading it in for another one. ;)

Pfft September 20, 2007

I’m getting frustrated. When I’m reading other people’s blogs I get so inspired that I get all these thoughts in my head of things that I want to share & blog about. Then just now, after clicking in “New Post” and after setting up my font & font size my mind suddenly goes blank and I can’t think of a single thing to write about. I just discovered a new blog - the writer is a stay at home mom in Texas with a little 3 year old girl. She had a post about Connie Talbot (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Connie_Talbot and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En0A8KGMgq8 - this 2nd link is her first time to sing in Britain’s Got Talent; & this 3rd link is Connie singing in the finals http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkcE6Vy-e6c&NR=1) - I got goosebumps watching & listening to her sing. She brought me to tears! She was just so sweet & innocent and she made me feel at peace, even for just 3 minutes, and she made me feel that there’s not a hint of war, famine & violence in the world. Oh well, that’s just me.

SO and I were having our cigarette break early this morning at work and I caressed his face, I just stroked it with my pointer & middle finger and he gave me this look like “what was that about?!”; then I told him I miss you that’s all. I felt kinda bad. Is it my fault that I miss him everyday? Now, I got to thinking, if he thinks the idea is absurd (since we see each other everyday - for short periods only, though) should I be worried? Because I want someone to miss ME everyday also! So if we get married - obviously, we’d be living together already, wouldn’t he miss me? At all?!

By the way, I finally bought my Sony Ericsson P990i! Yey! I’m so happy! I really feel like this is it; this’ll be my phone forever, oh well; we’ll see. BF bought one for himself also.

UAAP September 13, 2007

Filed under: Blah — eternally pink @ 10:31 am

Just this Sunday, SO & I, together with my sister & her boyfriend watched the DLSU-ADMU game in Araneta Center. It was my first ever (live) UAAP experience! It was so much fun! It was definitely a natural high. I immediately told SO that we’ll have to watch the succeeding games after this. I kept on asking myself why I watched only now.

I have a friend who’s 4-5months pregnant (I think) and I just saw her picture now — she’s so pretty & she looks so contented, happy & glowing. I wanna be like that when I get pregnant in the future. I want to be a sexy, pregnant woman & I’d still wear sexy clothes even if I already have a bun in the oven, haha.

I obviously don’t have much to say so I’ll just shut up.
