BF visited me here at home yesterday; it’s nice to be able to spend time with him here in the south, because I’m the one usually visiting him in Pasig. We went to the place where I had my aircon fixed and where I had my oil changed for the car because I was going to pay for it na - I can pay a little later since daddy knows the owner, hehe :D Anyway, the card swiping thing wasn’t available to BF and I just ate at Burger Machine. He had the Double Burger with the Chili Con Carne while I had the Cheesy Bacon Burger. We dropped by Ruins to look for a DVD to watch at home - we ended up buying My Big Love, haha! :D We also bought Sago’t Gulaman, yummy! We decided to buy a movie because my sister’s BF was at the house also so. When we got home we watched My Big Love right away. It was funny because Sam Milby really looked ridiculous and it was eye candy also when he got thin already. Plus the kilig moments in the movie helped too. :D

After the movie, BF and I were supposed to go to Laiya Grill along Aguirre Avenue but we wanted somewhere where we can just chill (I know pretty impossible on a Saturday night) so we decided to go to Bluewave (along Macapagal Blvd) instead. But it was quite crowded also so we ended up going to Harbor Square (beside CCP) instead. We just walked along the path by the bay (naks! HHWWPSSP! Haha, “holding hands while walking pa-sway sway pa! :P). We both love Japanese so it was a unanimous decision to eat at Teriyaki Boy. :D

I’ve always loved Japanese food. I’m generally not picky with food so if I want a quick Japanese fix I can eat at Tokyo Tokyo, Teriyaki Boy, Sumosam or any other Japanese fast food/resto out there but a good Japanese fix for me is eating at Saisaki. :) I haven’t really tried all good (& expensive) Japanese restaurants but I’m ok with Saisaki. :) Anyway, since we had Burger Machine earlier in the afternoon already I decided against ordering my usual of Katsudon. But BF still ordered his Gyu-Yakiniku Don, hehe :D Rice topped with beef egg. I ordered my usual Kakiage tempura nalang. Plus, an order of California Maki, haha, we couldn’t resist! :P After dinner, we just sat outside and had our nicotine fix then he drove me home na. Speaking of driving, I drove from the house to Macapagal and I insisted on this because the car that BF brought was their manual car and I wanted to practice again. We passed by Coastal road and guess what, na-traffic pa kame, haha, my left food literally went numb. :D It was all good, at least I can say that I can still drive a stick shift. :P

Since we follow US holidays at work this week was just any other ordinary work week for us. The only difference is we get to be paid double because we still worked during the declared non working holidays whatever. And also, there’s no traffic! :)

My shift starts at around 10pm; M used to be at the 2nd shift (starts at 3am) but she got transferred to the 1st shift (starts at 5pm). BF is also at the 1st shift. So when M got out of her shift early Saturday morning she kinda made jokes of going to Tagaytay. Being the kaladkarin that I am, I said yes! Haha!

BF, M, and I went down to the parking lot to talk about it. Wasn’t sure yet of whether to go to Tagaytay or Antipolo. We texted C to come down too because we invited him to go with us but he just started his shift! Haha he told us that he’s “nega” (as in negative) but after 5 minutes he rushed back upstairs to get his stuff. :D

We left the office around 3:30am to go to Tagaytay! Yey! I love these impromptu trips! We arrived in Tagaytay around 5am. Luckily, Starbucks is open 24 hours so we just stayed there to wait for sunrise. C, BF and I all had Caramel Macchiatos while M had a Cafe Masto (brewed coffee w/ milk, I think) then I ordered a slice of Oreo Cheesecake, BF had the Tuna Dill something sandwich and M had a Cinnamon Swirl. It was sooo cold! Good thing I brought a jacket. We just talked about random stuff and laughed at C because he was the only one without a jacket.

We just waited for sunrise and since the sun was fully up by 6:10 am the restaurants weren’t open yet we decided to drive around to look for food. :) We ended up eating at Mushroom Burger! Yey! Hehe I had the Mushroom Sandwich with Cheese, BF had the Pancit Canton, C had the Tuna Sandwich and M just had some Sago’t Gulaman. We headed back after eating. We were back at the office by 8:30 am. I just got my car in the parking lot and went home.

It’s now 7:08am on a Sunday. I woke up so early because I was asleep since 5pm yesterday! Haha that was looong!

Happy Easter everyone! :)

Exchange Gifts! December 18, 2007

BF and I bought our gifts for each other last Sunday (Dec 17). I already told him what I’ll give him; we actually talked about it already. If you would recall, he bought a Vespa recently so kinda no-brainer for me that I’d give him something for it. And that I did. :) I gave him a Givi Box (compartment for scooters). Now, his gift for me is a different thing. I’m so easy to please and anything pink or Hello Kitty would be great already. But what I got as a gift was so nice and pretty and pink AND Hello Kitty!!! Haha BF gave me Hello Kitty seat covers! My ride is so pimpin’! Haha! :D When we bought it, I also saw rubber mats (still for the car) and I paid for that already. But I saw little thingamajigs in the store also and bought a few. Hehe I was so lucky because they had an HK iPod cover and what do you know, it was for a Nano and what’s my iPod? A Nano! The gods have blessed me! :D After the seats got replaced with the HK covers I was so giddy driving home I was giggling by myself! I can’t put into words how happy I am with my gift! :D

I’ll just show you the pictures. :D

My Hello Kitty seat covers in all its glory. :)

View of the inside - it comes with steering wheel, shift and handbreak covers! Look at my car mats too! :D

Southbound December 7, 2007

Filed under: Blah, Us — eternally pink @ 10:23 am

First, I want to greet Southbound a Happy, Happy 1st Birthday! Can’t really remember when I first discovered this blog but I’ve been an avid reader (and lurker at first) ever since. Not a day goes by that I don’t visit them, not unless I don’t have access to the internet. They talk about restos, bazaars, little cafe’s in the South and in the Metro that they aptly categorize as Sana Nasa South (loose translation: hope this was in the South). So there, Happy Birthday to you!

BF and I has a friend from the office who was sent to India for about 3 weeks to supervise newly trained analysts. Before this particular friend, 3 other friends were sent for the training. Anyway, he got back, I think last Sunday and come Monday he gave a cute ashtray as pasalubong. It’s not expensive but as cliche as it may sound, “it’s the thought that counts”. I get easily touched by these small stuff. And it truly is the small stuff that matters. Brief background on C — he was an acquaintance first because he’s BF’s team mate then he became a weekend drinking buddy then eventually he (together with his girlfriend, T) became our ‘jetsetter’ buddies. We already traveled to Bohol & Boracay together. It’s so nice to know that we have a ‘couple’ friend we can share problems with who knows us as a individually and as a couple.

In time. November 27, 2007

Filed under: Us — eternally pink @ 11:14 am

The holiday is long gone. I just got home from my shift last, the first one after the long weekend and it was pfft to say the least. It’s always like that on Mondays. My boss & I joke about it that what if it were the other way around - we’d have a 2-day work ‘week’ and 5 glorious days of week ‘end’, but still get the same pay, haha yeah, right! Well, it doesn’t hurt to dream ;)

BF has been saving up for a Vespa PX150 for quite some time now and his mom giving him the remaining 35k he’s missing answered his prayers.

  • Thursday (Nov 22) - Went to Motoworld, The Fort branch to look for a helmet. He saw the one he liked (which costs P11,600, btw; it’s roughly around $280) but the branch didn’t have it in the color he wanted. So they called their other branch and we had them reserve it for us when they confirmed that they had it there. So we went to their Greenhills branch and when they swiped BF’s Citibank it wasn’t being honored anymore - maybe because of the Nautica watch he bought using the same card - so we just left; but we still had them reserve the helmet for us. I treated him to lunch - we ate at Brazil! Brazil! in Metrowalk. When I got home, BF texted me that his new Metrobank credit card just arrived thru mail - hmm, coincidence or meant to be? Hehe.. :)
  • Friday (Nov 23) - Since the Metrobank credit card just happened to be mailed when he needed it, early Friday morning we headed out to Greenhills again to swipe away & whaddayaknow it worked! What’s great about this helmet, which is a Caberg, btw, is that it’s, uhm, one whole helmet (or shall I say full face? not sure) that you can remove the lower half (the chin part) and turn it into just a half face helmet for shorter/city rides. Then other than the clear visor over the front it has a ‘darker’ visor for the eyes that can be tucked in the helmet when not needed. Here’s a picture of me wearing BF’s helmet and gloves, hehe. Oh and I just found out the model of the helmet it’s a Cabert Justissimo with a unique double-visor system. :)
  • After finalizing the sale we met up with our good friend (a fellow Vespa owner) for lunch. BF and I ate at Bacolod Chicken Inasal but our friend, M, already had lunch so he just waited for us to finish then he and BF drank beer to wile away the afternoon. We finished around 5pm-ish, traffic was really really bad at this point already. When we got in the car, mama (BF’s mom) called asking us to buy dinner since there wasn’t any ulam in the condo anymore. So we bought Chicken Inasal (again) and some veggies with pork (Adobong Kangkong w/ Lechon to be exact) then went to the condo. I feel asleep on the sofabed outside after dinner. I thought mama was staying for the night, uhm, fortunately, she didn’t. ;) Hehe.. *Insert devilish grin here*
  • Saturday (Nov 24) - the big day, for BF that is, well, partly for me too. We met up with J & M and picked up BF’s scooter, it’s a Vespa PX150. (Picture is actual unit) Partly mine also, haha, hey, I did give 10k of my 13th month bonus. Anyway, after paying and praying over the scooter J drove BF’s scooter first then we went straight to Camp Crame so that J can teach BF how to drive his scoot since J has the same exact unit. And they had to some lessons since the scooter is a manual transmission. After this, we had lunch at M’s house and that’s where BF left his scooter. We went home to my house then stayed there until around 6-7pm, I think. We visited the wake of our friend’s dad who died a week ago (the wake was just now because they had to fly the body home here to the Phils since he was based in Australia).
  • After this, we went to a friend’s (T) birthday party which was celebrated at a new bar named I ‘heart’ (it was just a drawing of a heart) 80’s. It reminded us of sooo many 80’s stuff! McGyver, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Punky Brewster, Top Gun, Mr. T and so many, many more. I had to go home because mom was home from her flight already.

  • Sunday (Nov 25) - Mommy & Daddy’s 25th Wedding Anniversary, yey! :) BF went ‘riding’ with A, J (brothers w/ A; same J from yesterday), M and G (G is M’s girlfriend; backride w/ M). They went to UP, had Starbucks in Katipunan, went ‘city riding’ and all that. Here’s BF’s picture while riding, I think it was taken by J. I felt sooo left out. :( I know I can’t go backride with BF yet but I can’t be following them around in my car either, that’s just plain stupid, weird and freaky. I just felt left out. I guess I just got so used to BF and I doing stuff together every weekend then all of a sudden it stops. There’s no gradual adjustment, just like that. It’s like going cold turkey. Oh well, the scooter is still new, so I guess in a few weeks or in a month things will be more smooth but it will never be the same again. How can it be when there’s a scooter to consider already. I’m thinking (conjuring, maybe) all these scenarios in my head that it’s making me bitch at BF already. What if instead of watching a movie or go out to lunch or dinner he’ll just spend the time to ride around the city - even if I can backride already it’s still different. I’m having mixed emotions about this, I found the helmet that I want it’s in pink of course then I also found the perfect jacket, and if I do buy a Vespa, the one below is what I want - I am kinda excited about the whole thing, in a way.

    • We’ll know. In time.
